*My literacy tip of the day: when asking my boys about their “favorite” this or that I want to remember to always include their favorite book. This puts reading on par with sports, superheros, ice cream. Sam took great pride that he was the only one in his class who voted for his choice for the Chickadee Award. His teacher read them all, and all the students voted. It is a great selection of books! His reason for his choice: It was a really great story about a brown skin boy, and you know Mom that when books get awards more people read them.
