Happy Black History Month Sammy Style
February 2, 2013
tags: Black History
At dinner last night I asked the boys to think of a brown skin person who they knew had impacted the history of the country, or the world… Sam immediately said; “I know. I know.”
When I asked him who it was he said; “Me. I am going to impact history by trying my best on Monday. I’ll get a 100.”
And how.
We came home and had a cake to celebrate Jackie Robinson, and the start of our collective Black History Month. How will you celebrate?

That’s so great Kate! Dad
That’s entirely awesome!!
I’m going to celebrate by telling my kids about Sam, a future African American who will impact the world. I’m quite sure that will happen too! And I’ll be delighted to blog on the books he inspires!
Best comment ever!
